This palatial palace which is a tourist attraction is an epitome of the Medieval British architecture and elements of the Indian architecture. This estate is spread over 453 acres of land and the palace was originally built by the Wodeyar dynasty in 1878. The Durbar Hall, the Ballroom, Maharaja’s courtyard with a Spanish Bench, corridors adorned with portraits and the lush gardens are its prime attractions. Numerous paintings are garnered along the corridors. The grandeur of the palace, it’s exotic interiors and the captivating sights are sure to leave you enchanted.

2.VISIT THE LALBAGH BOTANICAL GARDENS

Located at the heart of the city, this is one of the largest botanical gardens in India. It is spread over an area of about 240 acres and its construction was commissioned by the prominent ruler Hyder Ali. It is one of a kind with planned routes, ornamental flowers and glasshouses growing throughout the space. The flowers that were previously never seen in India were first spotted in this historical garden. The most famous feature is its extravagant flower shows which happens twice a year. Another striking attraction at the centre of the garden is the Lalbagh rock which is over 3000 years old. The vibrant atmosphere, the stunning flora and fauna and the sight of some rare birds will make you fall in love with this place!

3.VISIT THE GUHANTRA RESORT
